Gifts of Toys and Messages of God’s Love Given
Several residents and staff members from St. Paul Trinity Community located in Maysville, Kentucky, filled more than 20 shoe boxes to be given to children in desperate need around the world through the Operation Christmas Child Program.
Resident Charlotte suggested the program to Bethany Hayslip, Service Coordinator, who recalled the program from previous years’ participation. Beth organized the effort and personally feels it is a blessing to be able to send a box and trust the Lord that it will reach the hands of a child making a difference in his or her life.
Each of the shoe boxes are filled with toys, books, and essentials. Messages of God’s love are also included along with each box be given with prayer such that God will touch the heart of every child who receives one.
Each resident had their own personal reason for giving their time and prayer during their participation. Charlotte said, “It feels good to help children who did not have much for Christmas.” Teddyjean wanted to help a child have a nice Christmas. Libby dedicated her effort as “A memorial for her son and to all children I consider as my spiritual grandchildren.”
These residents and staff members together show dedication to our Faithful Caring tenets.
