Graceworks Housing Community Receives Grant

The Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County provide funding to promote and support the people and nonprofit organizations within the county. Hope Community applied for their annual grant with a goal to secure funds for carbon monoxide detectors for every unit in the community. With the assistance of Traci Douglas, Graceworks Lutheran Services Resource Development Specialist, Hope was able to complete the grant process and be awarded enough funds to complete the project.

Graceworks Housing Services provides safe and affordable housing for low income seniors in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

The management team of Hope, along with Traci, recently attended the 2016 grants reception that the Foundation hosts. At the reception, Hope was recognized for the work that they do within the senior and housing community in Jefferson County. Now with the funds awarded, Hope is in the process of purchasing and installing the carbon monoxide detectors for the safety of all residents.
